Wall Poems of Racine #7 features an excerpt from Mboya Sharif’s poem, "I am a Woman." UW-Parkside student Samantha Cibrario created the design in Professor Carey Watters’ advanced graphic design course. Building owners Joe & Jackie Mangelsdorf offered a wall of their building for the installation of the mural. Dean Tawwater of Tawwater Sign Company painted the mural.. Wall Poem #7 is located at Karlsen Plumbing at 1951 Grove Avenue, on the east facade of the building facing West Boulevard.
This wall poem is supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Arts Board with funds from the State of Wisconsin and the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding was received from the Osborne and Scekic Family Foundation.
